Change is necessary, and the transitions can be difficult. I recently went through such a transition that started to take me to "the dark place". Rather than trying to pull myself away from it, I opted to embrace and immerse myself in it, and channel into music. The result is a collection of slightly twisted musical experiments that pull in unusual sounds, dialogue and oddities I've collected over the years. Because constraints can be interesting, I set a foolish goal of producing 10 finished pieces of new music within 51 days. Because I'm me, it's littered with obvious and hidden meaning... All with the purpose of expressing the gnarly, uncomfortable emotions and subjects. Better out than in.
